Police have recovered the half-molten body of an unidentified youth from Jambur Mor area near Laboni Point in Cox's Bazar on Thursday afternoon. Although the name and identity of the deceased could not be ascertained, police said the deceased was about 30 years old.
Cox’s Bazar Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge ASM Shahjahan Kabir said locals informed the police that a body was found lying in a drain at Jambur Mora area of Cox's Bazar. Then Police rushed to the spot and recovered the body.
“There is no sign of injury on the killed youth’s body. The deceased was dressed in jeans pants, T-shirt and sweater. The whole body has started decaying. It is being assumed that he may have died in an incident at least 4/5 days earlier”, the OC said.
Officer-in-Charge Shahjahan informed that the body was kept at Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. A case was filed with Cox’s Bazar Sadar Police Station in connection to this incident, he added.
