A decomposed body was recovered by Police from a pond of Sharifuddin Mollah of village Khadimpur in Alamdanga Upazila of Chuadanga on Friday (December 4).
The deceased was identified as Alamgir Hossain, 22, son of Katob Ali Biswas of village Khadimpur in the upazila to see wearing of shirt and pant.
According to police and family sources, Alamgir Hossain went out of his home on October 10. Family members did not trace out him. So a general diary was lodged with Alamdanga police station in this regards on October 21.
On December 4 relatives of Sharifuddin Mollah were catching fish in the pond. At one stage they found a body in the pond. On information police rushed to the spot and recovered the body. Konok Kumar, additional superintendent of police visited the spot.
Alamgir Kabir, officer-in-charge (OC) of Alamdanga police station said DNA test of the body would be done.
