Decomposed body of child found in Noakhali, one held

Police recovered the decomposed body of child from inside a plastic bag of an abandoned shop at Chhoto Sharifpur in Begumganj Upazila of Noakhali on Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Emran, son of Shamsul Haque of  Chhoto Sharifpur Village.

He was student of class one of Chhoiani Government Primary School.

The information was revealed at a press conference held at the conference room of Noakhali district police on Wednesday noon.

Police said four rapists sexually abused Emran before killing him through strangulation.

According to the sources, on August 22, Emran, a class one student of Chhoiani Government Primary School went missing.

His father Shamsul Haque filed a case with Begumganj Police Station in this connection.

Acting on a tip off, police recovered the decomposed body from inside an abandoned shop belonged to one Shahid.

Police started operation in various places to arrest rapist Wasim Akram.  After arrest, Wasim Akram gave confessional statement and disclosed the names of his three friends.


He said at first they sexually assaulted Emran by holding his mouth close. When he turned unconscious, they killed him by fastening a rope round his throat and then dumped the body inside the shop.
