Milestone College Debating Club holds its 19th Debate Workshop-2023 at the permanent campus of Milestone College at Diabari, Uttara.
More than four hundred young debaters of classes IX and XI participated in the three-day-long debate workshop. The Debating Workshop-2023 was overall supervised by Milestone College Debating Club moderator and prominent debater Shafayet Uddin. 3rd August–The first day, Principal of Milestone College Mohammad Ziaul Alam inaugurated the workshop.
Professor Ratan Siddique was present as the chief guest and Senior Director (Administration) of Milestone College Md. Masud Alam was present as special guests in the inauguration ceremony. 4th August-Second day, Founder and advisor of Milestone College Colonel Nurun Nabi (retd.) was present as the guest of honor and gave an orientation speech to the young debaters. 5th August–closing day, Special Correspondent of Jamuna Television Mahfuz Mishu spoke to the young debaters about various techniques of modern debate.
Milestone College Debating Club moderator Shafayet Uddin gave the closing speech. During this time, he gave ideas to the new debaters about constructive debate, structure, word choice, debate planning, strategy etc.
The special attraction on the closing day of the 19th Debate Workshop-2023 was the impeccable performance of popular violinist Salahuddin. An immense number of students, teachers and vice-principals were present each day to encourage the young debaters.
