The number of death and infection from Covid-19 has increased in Asia and Europe. Though the rate of infection had been under control for several months it is increasing again after the first week of March. The rate of infection and death is on the rise again due to peoples' negligence in following proper hygiene practices including the use of masks.

The world economy has come to a sudden halt. Educational institutions are closed. The communication system is broken. Only the internet has become the main mean of communication. Only the frontlines are working. But the number  of people getting infected with coronavirus is so high that hospitals are struggling.

The number of victims and deaths in the statistics book is increasing every day. If this continues, middle class or low income people will be in danger. It is not possible for them to get better treatment by competing with the rich. In addition, low-income people will be the most economically endangered. If this situation continues, this pandemic will soon become more terrible.

Time will tell how long this disaster

will last but at this moment it is

important to avoid public gatherings

Time will tell how long this disaster will last. But at this moment it is important to avoid public gatherings. If we are infected, it is important to come under immediate treatment.

There is no substitute for adhering to strict social norms and hygiene rules. Containing the spread of Covid-19 largely depends on our social behavior. It is important to raise public awareness about Covid-19. People in rural areas of the country are still not aware of Covid-19.  However, responsible public representatives, local administrators, religious leaders and civil society representatives can play an effective role in raising awareness.

UN Secretary-General described the Corona situation as the biggest global and humanitarian crisis since World War II. About three million people have lost their lives so far. More than 130 millions of people have been affected. Advanced countries like UK, USA, France and German are struggling to cope with the situation and are feeling helpless. The severity of the situation is so great that the whole human civilization is under threat.

There is no substitute for following the hygiene rules. Strong mental strength and courage is also important. It is more important to keep one's morale strong. Needles to say, strong mental strength, courage and awareness along with hygiene will act as an urgent adjunct to coping and preventing the 2nd wave.
