Deal signed to create ‘Mujib Hundred’ website

State Minister for Information and Communications Technology Junaid Ahmed Palk on Monday signed a deal to make a website titled ‘Mujib Hundred’ in order to observe the 100th birth anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The deal was signed between Bangladesh Computer Council under ICT ministry and private organization Mighty Byte.

During the deal signing programme, the state minister said, “The Mujib Hundred website will serve as the centre point of observing the Mujib Year. Information about Bangabandhu's working life and birth anniversary will be available through the website.”  In a speech on March 8, he said that a holographic speech would be made with Bangabandhu's important sentences.

Referring to the current world as technology-based and the future world to be knowledge-based, the state minister said the ICT department is focusing on Frontier Technology. "We want to see the changes in technology change in the next 3 to 5 years," he said.

He mentioned that the ICT department will start working on changing the technology situation such as Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Technology, BigData, Robotics etc. Among others, senior officials including Information and Communication Technology Secretary NM Ziaul Alam attended the meeting.
