A day laborer was electrocuted while cutting tree branches in North Madhyapara village of Sirajdikhan, Munshiganj. The incident took place at North Madhyapara village of Madhyapara Union of Sirajdikhan Upazila around 9:30 on Monday. Abdul Haque Pranam (45) son of deceased Siddique Talukdar of North Padhyapara village.
In the details of the incident, local sources said that Abdul Haq performed the work of prostration. On that occasion, on Monday, Madhyapara came to the house of Qaddus Sheikh of Dighirpar village to clean the tree branches.
At one point during the felling of the tree, a shield became entangled with a power line. That shield got stuck on Abdul Haque Pranam's leg and electrocuted him to death.

He said, we got a call through 999 and came to the spot and saw that a person was electrocuted and hanging from a tree while cutting a tree with an electric pole. I immediately recovered the dead body and handed it over to the police.
Sirajdikhan Police Inspector Investigation Azgar Hossain said that Abdul Haque went to cut the branches of Quddus Sheikh's cardamom tree in Uttar Dighir Para area of North Madhyapara village. At that time, the villager under the tree was electrocuted by the power transmission line and died on the spot. Police have secured the body and legal action is under process.
