Daily Times of Bangladesh relaunches with editorial independence

Published : 31 Aug 2025 06:56 PM

The Daily Times of Bangladesh is set to relaunch its print edition on September 1, 2025, with a commitment to independent and objective journalism.

The English broadsheet, now featuring a new logo and the tagline "Window to the World," promises to provide comprehensive coverage of key local and global stories.

In a bold move, the newspaper has declared its editorial independence, ensuring news content is determined solely by its editorial team, free from political, commercial, or ownership influence. This marks a departure from traditional media practices in Bangladesh.

“This editorial independence is integral to our mission,” said editorial board member M Abul Kalam Azad. “In the current pre-election climate, media faces censorship, intimidation, and external pressures. We are committed to reporting with integrity and objectivity, guided solely by journalistic principles.”

The Daily Times of Bangladesh will cover a wide range of topics, including politics, business, healthcare, crime, technology, and culture. In addition to breaking news, readers can expect multimedia content like talk shows, event analyses, and visual storytelling to enhance the interactive experience.

The newspaper will be available in both print and digital formats, including an easily accessible e-paper, ensuring readers stay connected to the news at all times.

The Daily Times of Bangladesh aims to become a trusted source of information, blending hard news with lifestyle segments. It will offer a unique mix of news, entertainment, and thoughtful analysis on national and international affairs, business insights, youth and women’s concerns, cultural happenings, and more.

Whether it's business, finance, defense, or cultural coverage, the newspaper brings the world closer to its readers. With engaging segments on movies, books, music, and art, it promises to deliver a well-rounded media experience.
