The second anniversary of the Daily BD Khabar which was published from Narail was celebrated in a colorful manner. Deputy Commissioner of Narail Anjuman Ara was present as the chief guest at a discussion and cake-cutting occasion held at Bandhan Community Center in Rupganj bus stand area of Narail town on Sunday night.
President of the editorial Boards Md Wahiduzzaman chaired the function, while chairman of Narail Zila Parishad Advocate Shorab Hossain Biswas, Civil Surgeon Dr Nupur Kanti Das, Additional Deputy Commissioners Kazi Mahbubur Rashid, Md. Yarul Islam, Narail Sadar UNO Salma Selim, Additional superintendent of police (ASP) Masud Rana, Sheikh Imran, secretary of district lawyer association Advocate Uttom Kumar, Public Prosecutor (PP) Advocate Imdadul Islam Emdad, Narail Press Club President Enamul Kabir Tuku,journalist Sultan Mahmood, Chamber of Commerce’s president Md.Hasanuzzaman and vice-president of sadar upazila parishad Esmot Ara were present among others. Liton Dutta, editor of the daily BD Khabar delivered welcome speech.
The speakers said that the newspaper is a mirror of society. The role of the newspaper is immense in moving the country and society forward. A newspaper is solidified by delivering objectively positive news. Speakers expressed the view that Daily BD Khabar would play a leading role in advancing Sonar Bangla of Bangabandhu.
After the discussion, Anjuman Ara cut the anniversary’s cake. Government officials, leaders of Awami League and other parties, journalists, lawyers, teachers and people from other professions were present on the occasion.
