Various awareness programmes related to cyber security have been chalked out in Bangladesh like other countries in order to create awareness about cyber security.
As part of this, the ‘Cyber Security Awareness Day-2023’ will be observed in the country today (Saturday, October 21). On the occasion, Daffodil International University in collaboration with Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) is going to organise a daylong seminar/workshop on ‘Cyber Security Awareness’ on its campus at Birulia Savar on Saturday (today).
The event will take place at Daffodil Smart City at the International Conference Hall of Daffodil International University.
Chairman of Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) Shyam Sundar Sikdar will attend the opening ceremony of the event as the chief guest.
Vice Chancellor of Daffodil International University Professor Dr. M. Lutfur Rahman will preside over the event, Vice-Chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University Professor Dr. Md. Mahfuzul Islam and Pro-Vice Chancellor of Daffodil International University Professor Dr. SM Mahbub ul Haque Majumder will attend as guests of honor.
Dean of Science and Information Technology Faculty of Daffodil International University Professor Dr. Syed Akhtar Hossain will attend as special guest.
Commissioner of BTRC Dr. Mushfique Mannan Chowdhury will present the key note paper in the seminar. The head of the software engineering department of the university Dr. Imran Mahmud and Director and Associate Professor of Cyber Security Center Md. Maruf Hasan will speak at the event.
The day-long event will include cyber security seminars, training workshops, panel discussions, Google Hackathon contest, cyber security awareness project showcase and capture the flag competition. Hundreds of teams from all over the country will participate in this competition.
Organisers said that students, teachers, cyber security experts, BTRC officials and more than three hundred technology lovers will participate in this day-long event.
