Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. ASM Lutful Ahsan said that a monitoring team consisting of farmers and experts will be formed to identify the problems of Chittagong dairy farms and provide services under the initiative of the university. Besides, some research projects based on farm problems will be taken up.
CVASU Vice-Chancellor said these while addressing as the chief guest at the workshop titled 'Problem Identification of Dairy Farms in Chittagong' held on Saturday in the conference room of the university's administrative building.
CVASU Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Dean Professor Dr. Mohammad Lutfur Rahman was present as a special guest in the workshop organized under the supervision of the University Director (Research and Extension) Office.
Dr. Mohammad Farhad Hossain, former director of the Livestock Research Institute of the Department of Livestock, was present as the main speaker.
CVASUDirector (External Activities) Prof.Dr. AKM Saifuddin gave welcome speech in the workshop. Director (Research and Extension) Professor Dr SKM Azizul Islam presided over the meeting. Prof.Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman of the Department of Medicine and Surgery spoke at the workshop. Borhanul Hasan Chowdhury Salehin, Iqbal Hossain, Owner Md. Omar and Md. Omar Faruq spoke on behalf of the farmers.
The workshop was conducted by Assistant Professor of Physiology, Biochemistry and Pharmacology Dr. Md. Riduan Pasha.
