A new wind of positivity is blowing in student politics at Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU). Bangladesh Nationalist Chhatra Dal CVASU branch is currently playing an active role in organizing students, increasing academic excellence and forming responsible leadership.
Recently, organizations president Zia Uddin and with the cooperation of Senior Joint General Secretary Sarfaraz, the work of increasing unity, discipline and ideological awareness among students is going on continuously. In addition, Chhatra Dal General Secretary Md. Shahariar Hossain Talukder is creating a new trend in student politics by combining talent, education and cultural practices. He recently organized an exceptional workshop titled "Inspiring One Health Leadership Program" for first-year students with Professor Alex Cook, who came from Surrey University, UK, which develops leadership and research-oriented thinking among students.
Shahariar said, “University is a place to discover oneself. This is where a student prepares himself to face all future challenges. Bangladesh Nationalist Chhatra Dal gives utmost importance to all kinds of education-friendly and leadership development activities. Chhatra Dal will play a leading role in the future for democratic values, liberation of people and welfare of the country.”
Shahariar won the “Best Oral Scientific Presentation” award by participating as the only graduate and youngest student from CIVAS in the 17th International Science Conference. His presentation attracted the attention of visiting domestic and foreign researchers and scientists and received wide appreciation. At the same conference, students under his leadership created an innovative and creative stall, which set a new example in representing the university.
The speakers said that through this program, students will be able to know the true concept of nationalism, the historical role of martyr President Ziaur Rahman and what the politics and sense of responsibility of the young generation should be. In addition, an initiative has been taken to preserve two sets of 10 books in the university to increase the reading practice on nationalism. Senior professional politicians are assisting in this activity. Under the leadership of the newcomers, Sivasu Chhatra Dal is today establishing itself as a talented, responsible and positive student organization.
