Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) family paid tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the occasion of his historic homecoming day.
CVASU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr ASM Lutful Ahsan paid tribute to Bangabandhu's mural installed in the university campus on Tuesday afternoon. Faculty dean, director of institute, registrar, head of department, provost, director of various departments along with teachers, officials and employees of the university were present at this time. Later, wreaths were placed at Bangabandhu's mural by Teachers' Association and Progressive Teachers' Forum. After being released from captivity in Pakistan, on this day in 1972, the undisputed leader of the nation and the best Bengali Bangabandhu of a thousand years, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman returned to the newly independent Bangladesh.
Since then, the nation has been observing the day as Bangabandhu's historic homecoming day.
