The authorities of Cumilla University (CoU) observed the National Mourning Day and 44th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman with due respect and solemnity on Thursday.
Marking the day, a morning procession was brought out from the premises of administrative building led by CoU VC Emran Kabir Chowdhury. Registrar of CoU Prof Dr Md Abu Taher, CoUTA president Dr Md Shamimul Islam, teachers, officials and students of the university took part in the procession.
After placing floral wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu and a special prayer was offered for the eternal peace of departed soul of Bangabandhu and his family members.
