Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Alam met and exchanged views with a delegation of Chinese company Power China Zhongnan Engineering Corporation Limited.
The exchange meeting was held recently at CUET Vice Chancellor's office. The delegation included Li Yan Guang, Project Manager of Power China Zhongnan Engineering Corporation and Deputy General Manager of Overseas Business Development Department; Prof. Dr Ma Kunlin, Central South University of China, Former chairman of IEB Chittagong Center Engineer Mohammad Harun, Chief Engineer of Power China Zhongnan Engineering Corporation He Jian Pin, Li Hong Jun, Cheng Jiangang and Civil Engineer Hafizur Rahman.
It’s mentioned that the delegation is working on sewage system (1st phase) in Chittagong metropolitan area. At that time, Department Head of Civil Engineering Department Professor Dr. Asiful Haque, Department Head of Water Resources Strategy Department Professor Dr. Ayesha Akhtar, Chairman of Center for Environmental Science and Engineering Research and Professor of Civil Engineering Department Dr. GM Sadiqul Islam were present.
Later, a seminar on “High Strength Concrete Materials” was organized in the departmental seminar room with the participation of the Chinese delegation along with the students of CUET Civil Engineering Department. CUET Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Alam was the chief guest on the occasion. Director of Research and Extension Department Professor Dr. Sajal Chandra Banik was the special guest. Dr. Ma Kunlin, Professor of Road Engineering Department of Central South University of China, presented the article in the seminar. Dr. Asiful Haque, Head of Department of Civil Engineering presided over the event.
