Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) is ranked 92nd among South Asian universities in QS ranking and third best public and second best engineering university in the country.
Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) has been ranked 401-450 among universities in Asia and 92nd best university in South Asia in the 2024 ranking released by the US-based world-renowned QS World University. Besides, CUET has been ranked 5th among top 15 universities, 2nd best among engineering universities and 3rd best public university in the country. Also, CUET's Petroleum and Mining Engineering (PME) department is ranked between 1201-1400 in the global ranking and 101-150 in the subject-wise ranking. The ranking was published recently on 27th June.
CUET Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Alam congratulated all the teachers-researchers, students, officials and employees of the CUET family for the unprecedented achievement of the university in the global ranking.
In this year's ranking, CUET achieved a score of 17.2 in academic reputation, a score of 23.6 percent in employer reputation, a score of 17.2 percent in faculty per student ratio, a score of 11.7 percent in papers per faculty, a score of 4.1 percent in citations per paper, and a score of 2.2 percent in the International Research Network.
It is known that, QS World University Ranking is an independent university ranking system that is published annually based on the quality of university education, faculty-student ratio, number of international faculty-students, employment and research work. Last year too, CUET was ranked 401-450 in global rankings among Asian universities and 92nd among South Asian universities.
