CU students visit Japan under Sakura Exchange Programme

A group of students from the Institute of Forestry and Environmental Sciences and Department of Finance of Chittagong University recently visited Japan and received award under the Sakura Exchange Program. 

Nine students of the university visited Japan at the invitation of the Ministry of Science and Technology of Japan. 

After participating in the Sakura Exchange Program, the CU students paid a courtesy call on CU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Shireen Akhtar on Monday (August 14). 

Professor Dr. Mohammad Jasim Uddin of CU Institute of Forestry and Environmental Sciences, Director of the institute Professor Dr. Md. Aktar Hossain and Provost of Masterda Surja Senhall Professor Dr. AHM Raihan Sarkar, who led the delegation participating in the exchange program in Japan, were present

It is known that the students selected for the exchange program participated in the training program at Nara Women’s University in Japan on July 22-30 and successfully obtained the certificate.

CU VC congratulates the students for participating in the Sakura Exchange Program in Japan.  

The students expressed hope that the knowledge gained from the exchange program would enrich themselves and the country more by applying their knowledge in education and research and in their future careers.
