CU employee recruitment phone call leaked

4-member probe body formed

Chittagong University (CU) 3rd and 4th class employee recruitment trade two phone conversations have been leaked. 

This time, a complaint has been made against Manik Chandra Das, an inferior assistant of the registrar's office, of taking 8 lakh 20 thousand taka from three job seekers. 

Manik also threatened the candidate for asking for money back.

Chittagong University (CU) authorities have formed a four-member investigation committee in this incident.

The matter was informed in a letter signed by CU acting registrar Professor SM Monirul Hasan on Saturday afternoon.

A four-member investigation committee has been convened- CU Shah Amanat Hall Provost Prof. Nirmal Kumar Saha, Secret Branch Deputy Registrar Syed Fazlul Karim, Assistant Proctor Md. Ahsanul Kabir Palash, Central Store Branch Deputy Registrar Rashedul Haider Jabed have been convened.

CU Proctor Dr. Rabiul Hasan Bhuiyan said that Manik Chandra Das, who is working in the post of Librarian Assistant Grade-2 in the Registrar's Office of Chittagong University, has been reported in various media to have illegally taken money from various people in the name of employment in CU.

 Chittagong University came to the attention of the legal authorities.

The investigation committee has been asked to investigate the involvement of Manik Chandra Das and the incident published in the local and national media and submit the investigation report within the next five working days.
