Chittagong University Club (Campus) annual general meeting farewell and prize distribution ceremony was held on Monday evening at Chabi Club premises. Chittagong University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Shireen Akhtar was present as the chief guest. President of the club Prof. Dr. Mohammad Mahbubul Haque, Vice-President of the club CU Marine Sciences and Fisheries Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Md. Shafiqul Islam, CU Registrar (Acting) Prof. SM Monirul Hasan, CU Islamic History and Culture Department President Mir Mohammad Saifuddin Khaled, CU Proctor Dr. Rabiul Hasan Bhuiyan spoke on the occasion.
The club's general secretary Professor Dr. Md. Korban Ali presented the annual report of the club and the club's treasurer Md. Saifur Rahman (Sagar) presented the annual income and expenditure account. The program was conducted by the club's joint editor Dr. Mohammad Abdul Waheed Chowdhury and club member Nazneen Sarkar.
CU VC said that the club is located in the naturally beautiful CU campus, is a suitable place for the recreation of faculty and staff living in the university campus. After the whole day of work, the bond of mutual harmony is strengthened among the members of the club through sports and various entertainments. She greeted the outgoing members of the club. CU Vice-Chancellor felicitated the outgoing members of the club and distributed prizes among the winners of the club's annual indoor sports competition. CU Vice-Chancellor thanked the outgoing Executive Council leaders of the club and congratulated the newly constituted Executive Council leaders.
