Chittagong University (CU) has approved a budget of Tk 405 crore 35 lakh for the 2023-24 fiscal year. The budget was approved in the 59th joint meeting of the university's syndicate and finance committee in the vice-chancellor's office under the chairmanship of CU vice-chancellor Professor Shireen Akhtar, Read a PR.
The revised revenue budget of 2022-2023 fiscal year is 396 crore 5 lakh taka and the estimated revenue budget of 2023-2024 financial year is 405 crore 35 lakh taka.
CU VC Shireen Akhtar said, 'As always, the budget has been prepared with utmost importance to the education and research sector. The present administration is working relentlessly with the joint efforts of all in the development of education-research, administrative and physical infrastructure of Chittagong University. I wish for the sincere cooperation of all quarters including the highest council of the university to continue this trend in the future.
