Chattogram Zila Parishad Chairman ATM Pearul Islam said that Banskhali Upazila will be freed from encroachment and income generating projects will be accepted and implemented. This Upazila will be given importance in future development projects.
Chairman of Chattogram Zila Parishad ATM Payrul Islam inspected the current condition of its own property along with various projects implemented and under implementation by Chattogram Zila Parishad in Banskhali Upazila. During the visit on Thursday, the chief guest said this at a discussion meeting organized by the traders' association and local residents in Khatkhali market.
He said that a jetty with advanced modern facilities will be established in the Khatkhali part of Gahira Khatkhali Ghat. he instructed the students, poor farmers in distress to take less money in exchange of agricultural products.
He discussed with the local public representatives and individuals about the market construction site in front of Chanpur Dak Bungalow and the possibility of constructing a children's park and resort on the hill keeping the natural environment intact.
He visited the proposed site for construction of market at Munsir Hat market, various projects implemented by Zila Parishad at Jalia Ghata, Banshkhali Jaldi Post Bungalow, Khatkhali-Gahira Ghat leased by Zilla Parishad in Gandamara Union. During the visit, the common people of Banshkhali welcomed him with flowers at various places and shared their problems and feelings.
Chattogram Zila Parishad Chief Executive Officer Shabbir Iqbal, Executive Officer Md. Didarul Alam, Executive Engineer Munirul Islam, Upazila Executive Officer Saiduzzaman Chowdhury, Zilla Parishad Member Md. Nurul Mostafa Sikder Sangram elected from Banshkhali Upazila and Paurashava Mayor Advocate Tofail Bin Hossain were present.
