Ctg SP seeks cooperation for quick police service

Newly-appointed Superintendent of police (SP) of Chattogram district Rayhan Uddin Khan said the normal policing operation was collapsed in July and August. We are trying to return to normal operations. We want cooperation for quick police service and for developing the quality of the service at the police stations.

He came up with the assertion while speaking with the journalists of the print and electronic media at District Police Conference Room at Sholoshohor in the city on Thursday.

The SP also said we want to ensure the quality of the investigation so that result can be acquired for justice. We will work to change police service at the field level so that people of the district can be ensured of the police service quickly. Many operations have already been started. We want cooperation from the people and journalists to normalize everything. Anyone can contact with us for providing any information and advice.

Regarding submission of arms, Additional Superintendent of Police of the district police (DSB) Abu Tayeb Md Arif Hossain said a total of 388 arms licenses were given from 2009 to 2024 in Chattogram. Among those, 333 arms have been submitted in the district. The information about the submission of the rest of the arms are being collected. The information will be known within a few days.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration and Finance) ANM Wasim Firoz, Additional Superintendent of Police (DSB) Abu Tayeb Md Arif Hossain, Additional Superintendent of Police (Industrial Area and DB) Sudipta Sarkar, Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime and Ops) Asaduzzaman and other senior officials of police were present there.
