Ctg railway workers donate one day’s salary to PM’s relief fund

Recently the railway employees have donated one day's salary of about 27,000 employees of East-West zone of Bangladesh Railway to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund to help the people affected with corona.

When the letter reached the Eastern Railway office on Thursday; the railway officials cut the salaries of the subordinate employees and submitted it. Assistant Personnel Officer (East) Ranjit Kumar Das has confirmed the payment to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund.

The daily salary of about 27 thousand railway employees of Bangladesh Railway was paid through check of 1 crore 54 lakh 11 thousand 706 taka to the relief fund of the Prime Minister. The money was deducted on May 14.

Railway Eastern Finance Advisor and Chief Personnel Officer Kamrunnahar said that the East-West zone joint minister and the railway ministry would be by the side of the Prime Minister with humanitarian assistance.
