126 crores 10 lakhs 66 thousand 227 taka will be spent to collect the necessary equipment for various yards and terminals of Chattogram port. The Cabinet Committee on Public Procurement has approved the purchase proposal of the port.
The purchase proposals were approved in the committee meeting held in the conference room of the Cabinet Division at the Secretariat on Wednesday. Agriculture Minister Dr. Abdur Razzak chaired the meeting, members of the committee, secretaries of the cabinet department, secretaries of related ministries and senior officials were present.
Highlighting the various aspects of the approved proposals, Additional Secretary of the Cabinet Division, Syed Mahbub Khan said, under the G-5 package, Lot-2 of the G-5 package included in the project titled 'Procurement of equipment required for various yards and terminals of Chattogram Port' under the implementation of the Chattogram Port Authority under the Ministry of Shipping. The committee approved the purchase proposal related to Straddle Carrier. It will cost 33 crore 7 lakh 42 thousand 295 taka.
Purchase proposal related to 4 Straddle carriers under Lot-3 of G-5 package included in the project entitled 'Procurement of necessary equipment for various yards and terminals of Chattogram Port' under the Ministry of Shipping. It will cost 41 crore 64 lakh 47 thousand 629 taka.
Purchase proposal related to 4 Straddle carriers under Lot-4 of G-5 package included in the project entitled 'Procurement of equipment required for various yards and terminals of Chattogram Port' under the Ministry of Shipping. It will cost 51 crore 38 lakh 76 thousand 303 taka.
Moreover, the meeting also approved two proposals to purchase 1 crore 10 lakh litters of soybean oil and 8 thousand metric tonnes of lentils for sale to one crore family card holders through Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB).
