Ctg port’s activities resume

 Cargo and container handling activities at Chattogram port are going on in full swing. Due to the cyclone ‘Fani’ ships that were outside the port are being brought back to the jetty.

The port authority started works to bring the vessel to the ship at 8am on Sunday. It was possible to extend 7 ships to CCT and NCT till 10am. The Chattagram Port Authority (CPA) completed the necessary preparations including tugboat, pilot, manpower management, to bring the maximum 24 ships to the jerry. Outside the GCB, CCT, NCR, the remaining ships will be deployed to the New Mooring Container Terminal (NMCT) and Special Jetties.

Enamul Karim, officer of the Chittagong Port Transport Corporation (Transport), said that the port is fully operational. Products are fluctuating as before but work is going to bring vessels to the jetty from outside.
