Ctg port authority provides dry food to 5,000 flood affected families

Incessant rain and the upstream water from India caused the catastrophic flood in the history in Bangladesh. Lives of several lakhs of people of some nine districts are in the face of disaster.

The cry and woe of the people are being highlighted in the social media. They are requesting for saving their lives. Feni faced the worst damage from Wednesday morning to Thursday morning. The communication has been halted with three upazilas of the district. 

The rescue work is also being disrupted. Chittagong Port Authority are providing dry foods to 5,000 flood affected families. A boat of the port has always kept ready for relief assistance and rescue operation. A control room has been opened.

Secretary of Chittagong Port Authority Md Omor Faruk confirmed the matter on Thursday. 

He said Chittagong Port Authority is providing dry foods to 5,000 flood affected families as a part of social responsibility. The relief goods are being handed over to Bangladesh Navy.
