A mobile court of the district administration has fined a company named Messrs. Mistimela Food Products Limited at Kotwali in the city for producing fermented milk without BSTI certificate.
The operation was led by District Administration Executive Magistrate SikiMarma, Chattogram BSTI Divisional Office was led by Field Officer (CM) Jarin Tasneem Silli and Senior Examiner (MET) Md Saifur Rahman. BSTI Chattogram Assistant Director Nur Mohammad Mostafa said, "M/s Mistimela Food Products Limited in Kotwali area of the city was producing and selling fermented milk without obtaining a wrapping registration certificate from BSTI." The company has been fined Tk 5,000 for the offense under the Weights and Measures Standards Act-2018.
