Ctg DC files 318 cases for violating lockdown rules

Members of the law enforcement forces have been on the ground since morning to implement the strict lockdown announced by the government.  Executive magistrates have imposed fines of Tk 1,27,800 in 318 cases by conducting raids in different parts of the city for violating the restrictions.

DC’s 21 executive magistrates from the district administration, BRTA and city corporations conducted raids at various places in the city on Monday.

 Due to non-compliance with the restrictions announced by the government at that time, various shops, restaurants and shopping malls were raided and the general public was made aware of the observance of hygiene rules along with fines.

 Chattogram District Administration Executive Magistrate Omar Faruq said the district administration has been conducting regular operations to prevent the spread of the second wave of corona.  We will continue this campaign as per the instructions of the government.
