The dwellers of low-lying areas of Chattogram city have been facing waterlogging for the second consecutive day today as the heavy rain continued due to the active presence of monsoon in the region.
City dwellers are angry that four projects worth Tk 11,000 crore are underway in the city to resolve the waterlogging, but they are not getting the benefits.

The city's roads were submerged in water after two rounds of all-day rain on Friday and Saturday. But every year the people of Chattogram have to endure such suffering due to heavy rains.
The main roads of the city are submerged in rain. Water has also risen in houses. Meteorological office says this rain will continue for another 2-3 days. According to the Meteorological Office, rains are occurring due to the monsoon being active over Bangladesh.

Passengers had to be stuck on the road for hours.
The Patenga Meteorological Office said 35 millimeters of rain had been recorded in the previous 24 hours till 9 am on Saturday. Rainfall is due to low pressure and monsoon winds created in the sea.
