Cricketer Amin champion in 5-km marathon at Rajbari

On the occasion of Mujib Year, 'Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Dhaka Marathon' competition organized by Bangladesh Army 55 Infantry Division, Jessore Cantonment, was held in Rajbari.

The guests handed over the prizes to the first 10 winners at Shaheed Khushi Railway Maidan around 10:30 am on Saturday (February 27).

Earlier, Rajbari-1 MP Kazi Keramat Ali inaugurated the 5-km marathon by flying a balloon on Aladipur High School ground premises of Alipur Union in Sadar Upazila at 9:15 am.

Rajbari District Awami League Co-President and District Council Chairman Fakir Abdul Jabbar, Superintendent of Police MM Shakiluzzaman, Additional Deputy Commissioner Sarwar Ahmed Salehin, Sadar Upazila Chairman Advocate Imdadul Haque Biswas and Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Fahmi Mohammad Saif, District Sports Officer Ferdousi Akter Bonya, General Secretary of Rajbari Sports Association Shafiqul Islam Shafi, Sadar Upazila Vice Chairman Rakibul Hasan Pial and Alipur Union Parishad Chairman Md Shawkat Hasan, were present.

Rajbari district administration was in overall cooperation. 

About 2,000 registered as participants in the competition.

In the competition Amin Mandal emerged as champion, Md Tasin Khan occupied the 2nd place, Md Jessan Sardar—the 3rd place, Redwan Shahriar -- the 4th, Mohirullah Swadhin -- the 5th, Yunus Byapari -- the 6th, Ujjal Dhali -- the 7th, Mahmud Hasan -- the 8th, Md Rabbi Mandal -- the 9th, and Emon was placed 10th.
