CRI launching ‘White Board’ on Bangladesh

The Centre for Research & Information (CRI) is going to publish a quarterly magazine to present ‘objective and comprehensive’ analysis of the government policies to the nation.

Styled ‘White Board’, the first issue of the magazine will be launched on Sunday featuring Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s policies that guided Bangladesh towards development.

Bangabandhu’s grandson Radwan Mujib Siddique is the editor-in-chief of the magazine. This is a tribute to Bangabandhu on his birth centenary, the CRI, which is the research wing of the ruling Awami League, said.

Radwan Mujib Siddique will join a brief and interactive “smart web-launch” of the magazine at 6:00pm Sunday. Members of the advisory board will also join him.

The launching was previously scheduled for March, the month of Bangabandhu’s birth. But it was deferred due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

CRI said the first issue would debunk the misconceptions about Bangabandhu’s administration which were disseminated deliberately after his assassination along with the family members on August 15 in 19975.

Only his daughters – Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Sheikh Rehana – survived as they were in Germany then.

The magazine will give youths a chance to know Bangabandhu’s policies and visions which are still relevant in today’s world, the CRI said.

“There are many developments the youths can see today but what they do not know is that the seed of those developments was sown and nurtured by Bangabandhu and those futuristic policies will come alive through the pages of this magazine”.

The CRI, earlier, launched the ‘Mujib Graphic Novel’ which was the first-of-its-kind comic-style narration of the life and vision of young Mujib.
