Cox’s Bazar tree fair gets momentum

Saplings worth about Tk 21 lakhs have been sold out within seven days at the tree fair which ended on Saturday at the Public Library's Shaheed Daulot Maidan in Cox’s Bazar on Saturday. 

Saplings worth about Tk 15 lakhs have been sold out in the fair while Ramu Cantonment School and College ordered the rest of the saplings worth about Tk 6 lakhs. However, this year’s sale is higher than the previous years.

Deputy Commissioner of Cox's Bazar Md Kamal Hossain was present as Chief guest with Deputy Director of Cox's Bazar Agricultural Extension Directorate AKM Shahriar in the chair at the concluding session.

Among others, Additional Deputy Commissioner ADC (education & ICT) Md Amin al Parvez, Forest Officer of North Cox's Bazar Mahbub Morshed, Forest Officer of South Cox's Bazar Md Humayun Kabir, were also present. After the meeting, prizes were distributed among the participants of the tree fair.
