Cox’s Bazar teeming with tourists

A large number of tourists have arrived in Cox's Bazar. Tourism officials are happy with the arrival of a large number of tourists on Friday, the holiday weekend.

Special arrangements have been made for the safety of the arriving tourists. Police and civil administration are active in preventing tourist harassment.

Friday is weekend. On the first day of the month, suddenly there is a huge gathering of tourists in Cox's Bazar.

Since morning, one after the other vehicles started coming towards Cox's Bazar. Before noon, the entire city of Cox's Bazar is full of tourists. After noon, traffic jams occur in various areas including the hotel motel zone due to the arrival of a large number of tourists.

After noon, Labani, Sugandha, Kalatali points of Cox's Bazar beach are full of tourists.

At Sugandha Point, I talked to Khursed Alam, a tourist from Ambarkhana in Sylhet city. He said, 50 friends suddenly decided to come to Cox's Bazar. He said that they are enjoying a lot here.

Tourists Nahid, Roni, Shubo and Russell from Kalaroa in Satkhira said, they have been trying to come to Cox's Bazar for a long time. Could not come due to lack of opportunity. This time I came because the opportunity came together. Coming to Cox's Bazar for the first time after Corona, but I see many tourists here. Tourists and tourists across the beach.

Matiur Rahman, a mango seller on the beach, said that it sold well after a long time.

Mosharf Hossain Dulal, President of Saikat Jhinuk Market Traders Owners Association, said that sales were good due to sudden arrival of large number of tourists on Friday. My business friends are very happy.

The life guard workers are working to ensure that the tourists do not fall into the water.

Imtiaz Ahmed, manager of Sea Safe Live Guard, said that our staff have been miking since morning so that tourists do not go too far in the water. But the tourist doesn't want to hear that after getting into the water. 

So many times accidents happen.

Abul Kashem Shikder, president of the Hotel Motel Guest House Owners Association said, good business is happening after a long time. All the hotels in Cox's Bazar are full of tourists.

Jahidul Islam, manager of Hotel Niribili in Cox's Bazar, said, "We have locals here." But because of the huge tourist arrival on Friday, we have many tourists here.

Founding President of Cox's Bazar Hotel Owners Association Shah Alam Chowdhury said that there was a sudden arrival of a large number of tourists during the weekend on Friday. Room rates in our hotels are fixed throughout the year. There is no scope to reduce or increase.

President of Cox's Bazar Citizen Parishad ANM Helal Uddin said, “Our plan was to come to Cox's Bazar by train. That train is now in Cox's Bazar thanks to the Honorable Prime Minister. But common passengers are not getting this service as all the tickets are sold in the black market. Many tourists are in Cox's Bazar today because of the railway. But the government has to work more sincerely to ensure rail service. Railway tickets should be freed from black market.

District Commissioner of Cox's Bazar Mohammad Shaheen Imran said that three magistrates of the district administration are working round the clock so that the tourists do not face any problem or suffer any kind of harassment. We are ready to provide maximum civil service to tourists.

Additional DIG of Tourist Police Cox's Bazar Region Apel Mahmud said that special measures have been taken to ensure the safety of tourists coming to Cox's Bazar.

We also have our team at Cox's Bazar railway station. Various levels of teams are working to ensure that there is no problem from the railway station till the tourists come to Cox's Bazar beach.

Apart from beaches, security has been beefed up at tourist spots. Our members are also working in white clothes.

I myself visited the tourist spots several times since morning. I have taken immediate action against those who have received complaints, including the photographer.

All the time monitoring is being done through CC cameras so that the tourists do not suffer any kind of harassment.
