Cox’s Bazar police offer free ambulance for corona patients

With the slogan ‘People for the people’, Cox' s Bazar district Police offers free Ambulance service for carrying Coronavirus patients to the hospitals. 

ABM Masud Hossain, Superintendent of Police of Cox's Bazar formally inaugurated the free ambulance service for the people of the district at the district police office premises on Friday morning.

During the inaugural function, SP Masud Hossain said,  Cox's Bazar stands fourth in case of Coronavirus infection in the country and the number of the virus-infected patients was continuously increasing there.

There is a crisis of government ambulance services to carry  Coronavirus patients to the hospitals. As a result, many patients fail to reach hospitals in due time. 

Even, there are examples that failing to avail an ambulance in due time, patients died at home. Under such situation, Cox's Bazar district police took the decision to offer free ambulance service for the Corona patients. 

The inauguration programme of the free ambulance service was attended, among others, by Additional Superintendent of Police Iqbal Hossain, Additional Superintendent of Police Rezwan Ahmed, Additional Superintendent of Police Mashiur Rahman, DI-1 Arshad Ahmed and Officer-in-charge Ashraf Ahmed.
