Cox's Bazar Municipal wins Bangabandhu-Bangamata Gold cup

Cox's Bazar Municipality becomes the champion of Bangabandhu-Bangamata Gold Cup Football Tournament at the divisional level at the Birshrestha Ruhul Amin Stadium at Cox's Bazar on Monday.

Cox's Bazar Municipal Ekadash defeated Kutubdia Upazila Ekadash by 3-1 goal at the final of the tournament.

Kutubdia Upazila Ekadash players and supporters burst into tears. No more goals came until the last flute of the referee was played. Kutubdia left the field with a disappointment of 3-1 goals. Thousands of supporters, players, councilors, officials and employees of the Cox's Bazar Municipality came out to see the victory.

After the game, a short prize distribution ceremony was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Md Kamal Hossain.

Cox's Bazar Sadar-Ramu sitting MP Syamum Sarwar Kamal addressed as the chief guest. Cox's Bazar District Awami League President Advocate Sirajul Mostafa, Additional Superintendent of Police Rezwan Ahmed and General Secretary Anup Baroya Apu addressed the special guest.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Mohammad Ashraful Afsar, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Public) Md. Masudur Rahman Molla, Additional Deputy Commissioner SM Sarwar and District Sports Officer Afaz Uddin, Magistrates and Councilors of Coxbazar Municipality were present at various Upazilas. 

The guests later handed over the trophy to the champion team.
