Cox’s Bazar admin conducts raid against illegal bldgs

In Cox's Bazar city, the mobile court of the administration has evicted 21 illegal structures built by occupying the government land in the hotel-motel zone area.

Additional District Executive Magistrate Abu Sufian said that these establishments near the main road adjacent to Sugandha Point in the hotel-motel zone area of Cox's Bazar city were evacuated by conducting raids on Monday afternoon.

Abu Sufian said that 27 plots which were settled for a long period in the hotel-motel zone of Cox's Bazar city were previously canceled by the relevant department of the government due to violation of conditions. Among these, a number of structures were built occupying government valuable land of some plots adjacent to the main road at Sugandha point of the zone.

"On Monday afternoon, mobile court raids cleared 21 illegal establishments. These included 4 food restaurants, 5 grocery shops, 7 small and big shops and 5 offices owned by different individuals."

The Additional District Executive Magistrate said that the administration's campaign against those building structures occupying government land will continue.
