Cow Ramp Show draws huge crowd

The "Cow Ramp Show," an exceptional event of the two-day BDFA North Bengal Cow Fair, has drawn huge crowds in Bogra.

The Bangladesh Dairy Farmers Association (BDFA) has organised the fair at Momo Inn Park in Bogra.

The event started on Friday and ended on Saturday.

The main attraction of the two-day fair is the "Cow Ramp Show."Ragebul Ahsan Ripu, Member of Parliament of the Sadar constituency, inaugurated the fair as the chief guest.

In the fair, cows were bought and sold through the ramp show. More than 100 large-size cows of different breeds have been displayed in it.

In the fair, poultry farmers displayed different breeds of cows, buffaloes, goats, dumbas, Brahma chickens, macaw birds in 216 stalls from Friday morning.

There were domestic and foreign breeds of cows, including Brahma, RCC, North Bengal Grey, Shahiwal, Friesian, Bhutti, and Rajasthani Ox.

A large number of visitors gathered at the fair to see the animals.

However, the center of attraction for buyers and visitors was the one-ton Brahma bull from RK Agro, Bogra.

The Cow Ramp Show was organized in the afternoon. Over a hundred breeds of cows were displayed in the show. The owner announced the breed, age, number of teeth, and the price of his cow while the cows were being displayed, according to organizers.

Then the buyers bargained the price.

The owner of Bogra Bhandar Agro Farm and chief coordinator of the "North Bengal Cow Fair," Touhid Parvez Biplab, said that the farmers of 16 districts of Northern districts have brought their different breeds of cows, buffaloes, and dumbas.

There are a total of 216 stalls, he said.

Bangladesh Dairy Farmers Association President Imran Hossain presided over the opening ceremony.
