The number of Covid-19 infected patients is multiplying rapidly in Rajshahi division. Now, the number of Corona infected patients in the division is 223.
Dr. Gopendranath Acharya, Director of Health, Rajshahi division, informed on Monday morning, the highest number of Corona infected patients is in Naogaon district totalling the number 70. From Saturday night to Sunday night 16new Corona patients have been detected in Rajshahi division, Also 16 patients were also cured during the same time.
Director Health further informed, the number of Coronavirus infected patients in Rajshahi district is 17. in Chapainwabganj the number is 15, in Natore the number is 12, in Joypurhat the number is 48, in Bogura the number is 39, in Sirjganj the number is 6 and in Pabna the number is 16. The highest 70 number of patients have been detected in Naogaon district.
However, Rajshahi Metropolitan area, Charghat and Godagari upazilas of Rajshahi are still free from the infection of Cornavirus.
It is learnt, the first Corona patient was detected at Raninagar upazila of Naogaon district on April-23. Later Corona was detected in the body of Shahiduzzaman Sarker (65), Member of Parliament of Naogaon-2 ( Patnitola-Dhamoirhat ) constituency on May-2 in Dhaka. He went to Dhaka on April-18 from Naogaon.
Dr. Acharya further informed, one Coronavirus patient each from Rajshahi and Naogaon district died of the disease and now 57b Coronavirus patients are under treatment in hospitals of the division and rests are in home isolation.
