218 sponsorship children family of Sagardari, Vidyanandakati, Satbaria and Hasanpur Unions affected by the Corona virus epidemic were provided with financial aid by Action Aid Bangladesh at the initiative of Dalit organisation in Keshabpur Upazila of Jashore on Monday morning.
Each of the family received Tk 15,000 while Tk 3.27 lakh was distributed in total.
Upazila Assistant Rural Development Officer Sujan Kumar Chandra inaugurated the distribution as the chief guest at Daspara in Jahanpur upazila under the chairmanship of Dalit manager Nazrul Islam.
President of Keshabpur Upazila Press Club SR Saeed participated in the distribution of money as a special guest. Women leader Rikta Das, Dalit field assistant Milon Das, Rahima Akhter Polly, Shukatara and others assisted in the distribution.
