A Dhaka court on Monday ordered police to arrest former BNP lawmaker Mosaddek Ali Falu by March 24 in a case filed for siphoning Tk 183.92 crore to Dubai.
Judge KM Emrul Kayesh of the Senior Special Judge's Court of Dhaka directed the officer-in-charge (OC) of Cantonment Police Station to implement the order.
The court passed the order after OC of Banani Police Station submitted a report, saying the address mentioned in the FIR and charge sheet is under Cantonment Police Station.
The same court issued arrest warrant against Falu on December 13 last year as he was shown fugitive in the charge sheet of the case.
On May 13 in 2019, the national anti-graft watchdog filed the case with Uttara Paschim Police Station against Falu and three others for allegedly siphoning off Taka 183.92 crore to Dubai by opening three offshore companies.
