Couple visits neighbouring houses with Covid-19 symptoms

Even after bearing all symptoms of carrying coronavirus in their bodies and even after remaining under home quarantine under the direction of local Chairman, a Gazipur returnee couple visited neighbouring areas and houses of relatives during and after the Eid-ul-Fitr. 

It is learnt, the Coronavirus was detected in the bodies of the couple who came to a village under Govindapra union of Bagmara to observe Eid. Local Upazila Health Complex officials also confirmed detection of Coronavirus in the bodies of the couple and advised them to stay inside their house but by defying the advise, they roamed elsewhere in neighbouring areas and visited the houses of their relatives and friends with the Coronavirus symptoms. 

Sources informed the couple worked at a garments factory in  Gazipur. They arrived in their house before Eid with breaching problem and other symptoms of Coronavirus. On May-30, samples from their bodies were collected and sent to Corona testing lab in Rajshahi and Coronavirus presence was found positive in both the bodies of the husband (30) and the wife (25). 

Local UP Chairman Bijon Kumar Sarker informed the couple went put under home quarantine after symptom of Coronavirus was noticed in them. But, by defying the quarantine, they moved outside their houses freely.

The Corona infected garments labourer informed, over the mobile  phone that they developed a breathing problem after reaching home and they are still facing the problem. 

Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Golam Rabbani informed, the laboratory tests have confirmed the detection of Coronavirus in bodies of two garments workers. However, he said, he does not know about the moving of the couple outside their home with the Corona symptoms.  

Bagmara Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sharif Ahmed said, both the affected couple and the people they came in contact after reaching to the village have been sent to the isolation of Upazila Health Complex and two houses of the village have been put under lock-down.

It is learnt, so far Coronavirus has been detected among seven persons in Bagmara.
