A man and his wife were killed in a mud wall collapse in Kaliakoir upazila of Gazipur district on Thursday night.
The deceased were Md Emarot Hossain, 65, and his wife Asia Begum, 56. They were the residents in Ratonpur Nolipara area in the upazila.
Local people said the incident occurred when they were sleeping last night during heavy rain in Shafipur area. They died on the spot.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Tajwar Akram visited the spot. He said victim's family will get financial assistance.
