Couple get married again at the initiative of police

A couple of Chuadanga has remarried each other again 17 years later after their first wedding. 

Police resettled the two families and arranged remarriage of the couple on June 22 after one year of their divorce. All the arrangements for the remarriage were made by the police, says a press release issue from office of Superintendent of Police (SP) of Chuadanga.  

According to the press release, Fozle Ali, son of Arshed Ali Malitha of village Notidanga at Alamdanga upazila got married with Lotika Khatun, daughter of Yousuf Ali of village Atharokhada of upazila 17 years ago. 

They have three sons named Likhon, 13, Shikhon, 11 and Shizon, 5. The couple engaged in conflict over maintaining family. Against this backdrop, they were divorced one year ago. Fozle Ali sent divorce letter for her wife Lotika to his father-in-law. 

The tried to reunite and marry each other again as they were trying to find marital bliss. They tried to go back to each other. Against this backdrop, Chuadanga SP Jahidul Islam came forward requested them to get remarriage. Later, on June 22, the remarriage was arranged in presence of police officers of Chuadanga.
