Police recovered the bodies of a man and his wife from their house at Balatari village under Gojghonta union of Gnagachara upazila in Rangpur on Tuesday noon. The deceased were identified as Saber Ali, 50 and his wife Muktara Begum, 35 of the village. Locals said, couple has two daughters and a son. In the morning, elder daughter went to private tuition. After completing private tuition elder daughter went to parent's room and found, it was locked. At that time, neighbor came to their home, broke open the door of the room and found them dead.
However, police rushed to the spot at 1.00pm and recovered the bodies. It seems that husband killed wife and later committed suicide.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) Gangachara Model Police Station confirmed the matter. Police is investigating to unlock the mystery, added OC.
