Police have arrested three members of an Unconscious Gang (Ogyan Party), including a couple from different places in Chattogram district on Sunday, in connection with a case filed in Narayanganj.
The arrested are identified as Harun Jamaddar, 53, his wife Shahanaz alias Kulsum, 38, and Rezaul Gazi, 38.
According to police, they were arrested in connection with a case where a couple in Muslimpara area under Fatullah of Narayanganj Sadar Upazila were drugged with sedatives mixed in their food and robbed of their belongings.
Following a case filed in connection with the incident, Kulsum was initially arrested using information technology. Subsequently, her husband and one of their accomplices were also apprehended.
Fatullah Model Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Shariful Islam confirmed the incident and said that some of the stolen goods have been recovered.
The three arrested have been produced before the court, added the OC.
