Country’s highest temperature recorded in Chuadanga

The highest temperature of the country was recorded in Chuadanga on Sunday. Jashore experienced the highest temperature on Saturday.

Chuadanga Met Office sources said the temperature was 42.6 degrees Celsius in the district on Sunday.

The district has been experiencing a temperature of above 40 degrees Celsius for six consecutive days. The people of Chuadanga has been facing immense sufferings due to the excessive heat.

The normal life of the people has been disrupted by the ongoing heatwave in the district. Many new patients were admitted at different hospitals with heat-related diseases. Animals and birds were also suffering for the heatwave.

The district administration has issued a heat alert and asked everyone to stay at home unless any urgency.

The poor people, especially the day laborers, have been facing many problems due to the ongoing heatwave. The day laborers, farmers, rickshaw pullers and other poor people were upset with the scorching heat. They said that they did not have enough work available due to the hot weather. Moreover, they get tired very soon when they start working.

Officer-in-Charge of Chuadanga Met Office, Jaminur Rahman, said that the ongoing heatwave may continue for few more days. However, there is no possibility of rainfall soon.
