Referring to the interim government, BNP Standing Committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury said, 'There is no point in talking about the country's problems abroad, we have to talk about them here, the solution is here.'

He said this at a discussion meeting organized at the LGED auditorium in Muradpur of Chattogram city on Friday afternoon to mark the 44th martyrdom anniversary of BNP founder and former President Ziaur Rahman.

Chattogram metropolitan BNP organized the meeting.

Amir Khasru said, 'We are waiting for the elections. It is not possible to implement anything until an elected government comes through elections. Bangladesh needs an elected government as soon as possible. Whether any party wants it or not, it is not a big deal. The people of Bangladesh are expecting democracy.'

He also said, 'If you say anything else, it is better to say it within the country. Don't say much outside the country, if you say it within the country... this is Bangladesh's problem, there is no point in saying this problem outside!  They say within Bangladesh, we have to solve it here.’

Khasru said, if we keep going out and saying these things, will Bangladesh’s problems be solved? It won’t be. We have to say it here, the solution is here. The people of Bangladesh are the solution.

He said, ‘At the end of the day, whoever says reform, whoever says justice, whatever they say, the solution is the people of Bangladesh. There is no second weapon to provide a solution. There is only one weapon, the people of Bangladesh.’

The main discussion meeting was Pabna University of Science and Technology Vice Chancellor SM Abdul Awal.

Central BNP Organizing Secretary Mahbubur Rahman Shamim, Chittagong Metropolitan BNP Convener Ershad Ullah, Member Secretary Nazimur Rahman and others were present.
