The country's MDG has been achieved two years before its deadline. It will achieve all other goal before the stipulated time. With all these we can say we are in right direction, said State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain.
The state minister said this while speaking as the chief guest at a seminar on ‘Bangabandhu's Development Thoughts and Bangladesh Development Administration’ organised by National Academy for Planning and Development (NAPD) at Nilkhet in the capital on Tuesday.
Prime minister's former principal secretary Dr. Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury presented the keynote paper while Environment, Forest and Climate Change Ministry Secretary Dr. Farhina Ahmed among others also spoke on the seminar. NAPD director general Dr. Binayak Sen gave vote of thanks.
The state minister said, “Without personal interest, administrative officers should provide services to our people. As our father of the nation said we should respect to our people so that they will respect us.
Negligence in government work is not acceptable.”
“Now we are a brave nation to the world. The Padma Bridge has taken us to a new height. We won't let any evil force let us down so that the development pace the country halted,” added the state minister.
He said, “Bangabandhu indeed was a poet of politics and visionary leader. Based on four pillars our Constitution has been prepared which were his foresighted thoughts. Due to Bangabandhu's indomitable courage he was able to rescue a war torn country.”
“We are following his ideology and establishing Sonar Bangla under his worthy daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. We will continue such development in the days to come,” added Farhad Hossain.
