The Ministry of Industries today said the country has a stock of over nine lakh metric tons of urea which is adequate to meet the demand of the country, reports BSS.
As per the latest information of the Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC), now the country has a stock of 9.35 lakh metric tons of urea and the government has already supplied 22.50 lakh metric tons to the farmers in the fiscal 2019-20. The demand of urea in the fiscal 2019-20 is around 25.50 lakh metric tons.
The Industries Ministry has requested the deputy commissioners (DCs) to provide all sorts of support for supplying urea fertilizer to the farmers through dealers.
