Country belongs to all of us, says Faridul

State Minister for Religious Affairs Faridul Haq Khan said, this country belongs to all of us. We do not think of any community as a minority or numerical guru. All are citizens of this country. Under the leadership of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the independence of Bangladesh was achieved by the blood of all the people of all communities. Therefore, we are committed to establishing the religious rights of all communities.

The state minister said that all preparations have been made to celebrate the autumn Durga Puja safely and smoothly. Police, Ansar, volunteers have been deployed for necessary security arrangements.

The state minister said, we believe that religion belongs to everyone, festival is for everyone. Our constitution enshrines secularism as one of the fundamental principles.

The state minister also said that a group wants to spoil the image of the country by inciting communal violence in the country. Everyone should be aware of them.

The state minister said that the government and Bangladesh Awami League are providing necessary support to celebrate the Autumn Durga Puja festival in a festive atmosphere.

President of Siddheshwari Sarvajanin Puja Parishad Mr Subrata Pal presided over the programme.

Special Assistant to the Honorable Prime Minister and Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League Barrister Biplab Barua, Executive Member of Bangladesh Awami League Raymond Arang, Advisor of Bangladesh Puja Udjakar Parishad Shri Kajal Debnath, Vice President of Bangladesh Puja Udjar Parishad Mr. Jayant Kumar Deb also spoke at the cloth distribution ceremony. General Secretary of Siddheshwari Sarvajanin Puja Parishad Shri Parineeta Sarkar, Sevayat Shekhar Goswami of Siddheshwari Sarvajanin Kali Mandir etc.

On the occasion of Autumn Durga Puja, clothes were distributed among the poor and needy on behalf of Siddheshwari Sarvajanin Puja Parishad.
